ASASTEL is a non-for profit, non-economic association of national scope that gathers retired and pensioners of the Embratel Social Security Foundation – TELOS.
The purpose of the project is to operate close to its associates at their homes providing health education to improve their quality of life by adopting healthy habits for the preservation and health and prevention of diseases.
The project is developed in the city of Rio de Janeiro to enhance and consolidate interventions with the older persons already assisted by the program. It also seeks to train human resources to apply older persons profile assessment protocols, and to promote health education. This project is to be expanded to the cities of Recife, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and Belém.
