Intergenerational exchange: Brazilian Youth training English with older Americans

 

In a globalized world there are more young people wanting to practice and improve their English language.

A Brazilian school attentive to this trend had a socially responsible and creative idea.The course CNA languages created a project that connects children and teenagers toelderly residents of nursing homes in Chicago, in the United States.

The project, called Speaking Exchange, eventually becoming scenario to exchange life stories, culture and ideas between the two sides. After the experience, teachers went into action to attend the talks and assess the progress of students.
